Description
A full order book for home bakers and small bakeries whose custom orders arrive by message and get lost. Each order holds the customer, pickup date and time (or delivery address), product, size, flavour, filling, inscription, design notes, dietary needs, up to four photo references, price, deposit and status.
The Today screen is the baker's morning view: a bake list grouped by product with flavour totals and tick boxes, worked out from each product's lead days, next to pickup tickets with the balance still to pay. Statuses move from enquiry to confirmed, baking, ready and collected in one tap, with undo. A reminder message for the customer is one click away, and the day prints as a clean kitchen sheet.
A month calendar shows every pickup as a coloured bar and how much is baking each day. The orders list has search, filters for status, payment and dates, and sorting. Insights show orders, sales, money received and money still owed, a weekly orders chart, favourite flavours and everyone who still owes money.
Customers can use a request page from a shareable link: they describe what they want and send the message it creates; the baker pastes it in and it opens as an enquiry to price. There is no server, so there are no running costs.
Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no build step. CSV export, JSON backup and restore, an installable web app manifest and an offline service worker are included. The order logic has 14 automated tests.

What’s unfinished
- No accounts or syncing: orders live in one browser on one device (backup and restore moves them)
- Photo references are stored in the browser, so many large photos can fill its storage (about 5 MB)
- No online payments, and no automatic SMS or email: reminders and requests are copied and sent by hand
- Customer requests reach the baker by copy and paste, not automatically
- English only, with day-month date format

Technologies
HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES modules), localStorage, Service worker (offline), Web app manifest, Node test runner
Setup requirements
Upload the files to any static web host (HTTPS needed for offline mode). To try it locally, run python3 -m http.server in the folder and open http://localhost:8000. Run the tests with npm test (Node 20 or newer). The README covers customising products, colours and dietary options.
Dependencies and ongoing costs
None to pay for. It is a static site that runs free on any static web host. Fonts (Bagel Fat One and Karla) load from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License, with system-font fallbacks.
Known limitations
Data is stored in the browser's localStorage on one device. A multi-device or multi-staff product would need accounts and a database. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers unless you self-host them.
