Description

Recipe Card scales a recipe to any number of people without the mental arithmetic. Paste the ingredients one per line, say how many the recipe serves and how many you are feeding, and every amount is worked out on a typed index card.

It reads amounts the way cooks write them: 200 g, 1 1/2 cups, ¾ tsp, 2-3 cloves. Results come back the same way, as kitchen fractions for spoons and cups and rounded weights for grams. Units tidy themselves when numbers get big, so 6 teaspoons become 2 tablespoons and 1500 g becomes 1.5 kg, and counted items turn plural when one egg becomes three eggs.

Each line shows what it was before scaling, and you can tick ingredients off as you weigh them out. Half, Double and Triple buttons cover the common cases, and favourite recipes go into a recipe box for next time.

Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no server or running costs, and a warm kitchen-worktop design.
