Description
AI generated. Canon Cairn is a standalone browser composition tool for exploring relationships between an eight event subject and up to four derived voices.
Edit diatonic degrees, rests, durations and velocity. Give each voice an entry time, diatonic shift, forward or inverted motion, retrograde order and rhythm multiplier. Select major, natural minor, Dorian or Mixolydian and hear the transformed note plan.
Inspect overlapping seconds and tritones as listening points, without claiming automatic counterpoint correctness. Three original subjects and seeded note variation are included. Export separate MIDI voice tracks or a synthesized arrangement WAV and save the full composition as JSON.

Setup requirements
Open index.html or serve the folder with any static HTTP server. Use a deliberate play action to enable audio.
Dependencies and ongoing costs
No third party libraries, paid APIs or required services. A current Web Audio capable browser is required. Optional static hosting can be free.
Known limitations
AI generated standalone browser composer. A subject contains exactly eight events and an arrangement up to four voices. Pitch labels use sharps. Inversion uses the first sounding subject degree as its anchor. Retrograde reverses durations with the events. Notes outside MIDI 0 through 127 are omitted and counted. Preview is simple generated audio, not an orchestral sound bank. Loop includes a one second tail. MIDI note gates use 90 percent articulation. Hosted downloads may be restricted.
